Forms
Only what you type into the launch-notification or contact form, and only when you submit it: your email address; the country you select; a vehicle make or a message if you choose to enter one; and your browser’s user-agent string, stored alongside the submission. Your IP address is used in memory to limit how often a form can be submitted from one place and is not written to the record.
Your settings
When you choose a language, country or currency in the selector at the top of the page, the site remembers that choice in a cookie in your browser — rv_language, rv_market or rv_currency — for up to one year, so the site opens with your choice next time. These cookies hold only the choice itself. They are not used for tracking and are not shared with anyone.
Your recent tire-size searches and whether you prefer prices per tire or per set are kept in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your browser.
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, a network that speeds up and protects websites. Like any web server, Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details with each request and processes them to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. It tells our server only which country the request comes from; we use that country, together with your browser’s language settings, to suggest a country before you have chosen one. The guess is not stored unless you confirm a choice. If a request looks automated, Cloudflare may show a check and set a short-lived security cookie.
Offers and links to shops
Prices, stock and delivery details in search results come from partner shops through the affiliate network Awin. When you open an offer, the link first passes through our server, which records the click: which offer and tire, when, the country you selected, the search it came from and its position in the list. The record contains no cookie, no IP address and no account. You are then sent to Awin’s tracking link; Awin and the shop set their own cookies under their own privacy policies so that a purchase can be credited to RideVector. If you buy, RideVector may receive a commission; the price you pay stays the same.
Tire photos in search results are loaded from Awin’s image server (images2.productserve.com). Like any web server, it receives your IP address and browser details when your browser loads the images.
Analytics
To understand how the site is used — which pages are opened, from which country and on which kind of device — the site uses Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited. Its advertising features and Google signals are switched off. In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets its cookies (_ga, _ga_*) only after you accept them; until then, or if you decline, the page sends Google only signals without cookies or an identifier. In other countries the analytics cookies are on unless you turn them off. You can change your choice at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; the choice itself is kept in the rv_consent cookie for one year.
What this site does not do
- It runs no advertising scripts and does not follow you across other sites. Fonts are served from this domain.
- It does not build a profile of you and does not share submissions with anyone.
Why we collect it
Analytics: to see which pages and features are used and to improve the site. Form submissions: to tell you when RideVector opens in your market, or to answer a message you sent. Offer clicks: to count which offers people choose and to reconcile commissions with the affiliate network. Nothing else. Nothing is sold or rented.
Where it is stored and for how long
On a server we operate in the European Union, as plain records readable only by the project team. Form submissions are kept until launch communications are finished or you ask us to remove them. Click records contain no personal data and are kept as long as they are needed to reconcile commissions.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use. Requests are free of charge. Until a dedicated mailbox is published, send requests through the contact form from the address you signed up with.
Changes
If this page changes materially, the date at the top changes with it.
